Adam Alexander grew up with market gardening on his father’s farm but changed to film production, mainly documentaries. Through his work around the world, he was introduced to amazing tasting vegetables and started investigating the development of our vegetables, concentrating particularly on the breeding. He got involved with seed exchanges around the world and has contributed to seed banks. On his farm just outside Chepstow, he grows a lot of different vegetables and has his own private seed bank of many hundred different species.
He gives good tips on how to get your own collection and keep growing your own favourite veg, nothing like the tasteless tomatoes in the supermarket, wherever they come from.
He puts the seed breeding in context to our constantly evolving society within our world, and he does it in a very enthusiastic way.
