A small number of enthusiastic members are meeting at my house on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 2.00pm. We are happy to welcome any new members who would like to join us for a relaxed afternoon of music and a cuppa. You do not need to be able to read music or have any prior knowledge of musical styles, terminology, development etc. We are quite light-hearted and are just there to enjoy ourselves
Our once-monthly meetings include listening to CDs from a wide range of music. We also watch DVDs of musicals, opera, performers etc. We view documentaries on classical composers, the development of music as form of entertainment over the ages, musical concerts and performances, the life and works of various musicians in a variety of styles.
Individual members of our group are welcome to give presentations on their favourite pieces of music/performers although there is no obligation. So far they have provoked lively discussions as memories have been stirred.

IN NOVEMBER, JANUARY AND FEBRUARY THE MUSIC APPRECIATION MEETINGS WILL BE FROM 1.30PM TO 3.30PM. THIS WILL ENABLE GROUP MEMBERS TO GET HOME WHILE IT IS STILL LIGHT. ALL OTHER DETAILS REMAIN THE SAME.
