Walking is a lovely way to spend your time. It is healthy, it is invigorating and you get to talk to lots of people; it is good for your general wellbeing. To understand the 'conditions' of walking with Caldicot and District u3a, please read the guidelines which you find by clicking on the button to the right. The Stragglers Walking Group do a easy to moderate walk of around 3 miles or 4 Miles which may include some hills.
The group offers everyone a chance to enjoy a walk every Tuesday in the countryside of the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean or local to Caldicot. After the walk the group usually retire to a hostelry for lunch. Occasionally day trips are arranged to places further afield e.g. Gower, Herefordshire, also arranged is an annual holiday.
We meet at the Caldicot Car Park (next to the doctors surgery) most weeks between 9.45 to 10.00am to car share to the start point of the walk.
A programme of monthly walks is published every three months which may be subject to alteration, please check with the Convenor.
Please note that all walks arranged by members should be communicated to our Logisitics manager Ann and NOT Wendy.
Ann sends out all the walks by email to all members of the group on the week end prior to the relevant walk for the following Tuesday.
